Answers: |
- Must all SBA school coordinators attend the inter-school meeting at the end of the school year?
Yes, it is important for all SBA school coordinators to attend the inter-school meeting at the end of S6. This meeting, chaired by their District Coordinators, serves as a valuable opportunity for quality assurance, professional development, and sharing of best practices among teachers. Attendance at these meetings will benefit teachers in their professional growth and provide a platform for collaboration and learning.
- Must teachers change their marks after the inter-school meeting?
No, teachers are not obligated to change their marks after the inter-school meeting. The purpose of this meeting is to facilitate professional development and the exchange of good practices among schools within the district. It does not mandate any changes to the marks assigned by individual teachers.
- Will teachers infringe copyright if they show films or documentaries in class?
Video recordings from television broadcasts can be used for educational purposes without infringing copyright. For detailed information, please refer to the Appendix, "Notes on Copyright and End-user Agreement," of the TEXT SELECTION CRITERIA.
- Why do teachers and students need to sign the Assessment Record?
Students are required to sign and declare that they have read/viewed appropriate texts for the assessment and that the work is entirely their own. Teachers, on the other hand, need to declare that they are the students' subject teacher, that the texts used are appropriate, and that the assessment has been conducted under specified mandatory assessment conditions. These declarations are crucial for the authentication of the SBA.
- How will the SBA marks and samples of performance be submitted to the HKEAA?
SBA marks and samples will need to be submitted at the end of S6 through an SBA mark submission system. Teachers and school administrators can refer to the guidelines and memoranda issued by the HKEAA regarding the logistics of the mark submission procedures.
