Structure of the Authority Council and its committees

The Council appoints standing committees to support the governance of the major activities of the Authority. These committees discharge their responsibilities in accordance with prescribed terms of reference. Working groups and sub-committees may be appointed to take on matters of particular importance.

The HKEAA Council appoints various standing committees. These include Strategic Development Committee, Appeal Review Committee, Audit Committee, Finance Committee, Human Resources Committee, Information Technology Committee, Public Examinations Board, Research and Development Committee. Under the Finance Committee, there is Tender Board while under the Public Examinations Board, there are Task Group on Language Proficiency Assessment for Teachers, Standards Committee, Committee on Special Needs Candidates, Appeal Panel for Special Needs Candidates, and Subject Committees.
