SVAGE 2024 – Examination Result

 

The examination result of Switzerland Visual Arts Grading Examination 2024 has been uploaded to the SVAGE website at https://svaexam.org on 5 February 2025. Applicants may check the examination result in the Member Area within 6 months from its issuance date. Certificates for candidates who passed the examination will be posted by the HKEAA to applicants in April 2025. Please visit this page again for updates in April.

 

Entry Requirement
Any person aged 4 or above are eligible to take the examination.

Examination Date & Time
The Switzerland Visual Arts Grading Examination will take place on 7 December 2024 and 14 December 2025.

Registration Period & Method
  • Registration period for 2024 examination will run from 1 September 2024 to 30 September 2024, whilst the registration period for 2025 examination will be announced at a later date.
  • Please visit the Switzerland Visual Arts Grading Examination website: https://svaexam.org/ for online application and required documents.
  • Candidates aged 18 or above can complete the online application by themselves. Applications for candidates aged under 18 must be submitted by an applicant (their parents/guardian) aged 18 or above.

  • Under no circumstances will paid examination fees or any fees be returned, transferred or retained for another examination/person.
  • No refund or make-up arrangements will be made for latecomers and absentees.

 

Supplementary Fees
Candidates who wish to apply for late entry, changing grade or examination time, they should submit the applications to the Hong Kong Teaching Resources Center at least one month before the examination date. Supplementary fees will be charged and candidates are required to settle the balance of different grades if applicable.

Examination Information
The Switzerland Visual Arts Grading Examination is comprised of three parts: Painting evaluation, Written evaluation and Portfolio evaluation, with the total points of 100. For details, please visit https://svaexam.org/.
Examination Venue
  • Examination will be held in the HKEAA San Po Kong Assessment Centre or school hall/classroom. The Admission Ticket will include the details of the examination venue.
  • Only candidates are allowed to enter the examination venue. Parents and guardians are not allowed to accompany their candidates to the floors of the examination venue or remaining in the premises of the examination venue.

Admission Ticket
  • The Admission Ticket will be issued to applicants two weeks before the examination date by email and the links to download notes and regulations regarding the examination will also be provided. Candidates are required to bring along a printed copy of the Admission Ticket to the examination venue for identification verification. If applicants have not received the Admission Tickets a week before the examination date, they should contact the HKEAA immediately.
  • Upon the receipt of the Admission Ticket, applicants or candidates should check and ensure that the listed personal particulars are correct. If any misinformation is found, please inform Hong Kong Teaching Resources Center in writing together with a copy of the identification document for amendment. Personal particulars on certificates will be printed according to the information on the Admission Ticket. A supplementary fee will be levied if any amendment is made after the examination date.
  • Candidates are required to attend the examination according to the details stated on their Admission Tickets.

Examination Result & Certificate
  • Examination result will be issued within two months after the examination. Examination certificate will be sent by post two months after the issue of examination result. Notices regarding the mailing of certificates will be posted on this webpage.
  • Applicants who have not received their candidates’ certificates should contact the HKEAA. Uncollected certificates will be returned to the Hong Kong Teaching Resources Center five months after the issue of certificates without further notification.
  • Certificates for candidates who passed the examination will be posted to applicants after the examination. Applicants should immediately inform the HKEAA in writing together with a copy of candidates' Admission Tickets if their correspondence address or contact number have been changed during this period. Disclaimer and Data Privacy

Neither the Hong Kong Teaching Resources Center ("HKTRC") nor the HKEAA shall be responsible for any non-performance of duties where such non-performance has been caused by an act of God, labour strike, natural disaster, adverse weather, epidemic, governmental action or intervention, riot or any other cause not reasonably foreseeable and beyond the reasonable control of the HKTRC or the HKEAA. The HKEAA, including their contractors and subcontractors, shall not be liable to anyone claiming for any damages which are caused by, arising from or otherwise related to the failure of staff members, examination personnel or the examination centres to comply with the examination regulations, policies or procedures. All fees paid are not refundable and not transferable from one examination to another or from one candidate to another or for any other purposes.

Personal data of applicants/candidates are used by the HKEAA and the Examination Board for delivery of examination and assessment services; whether you provide the requested personal data is voluntary. However, if you fail to provide all the data, or if any of the data are inaccurate or incomplete, the HKEAA and the Examination Board may not be able to accept your entry or provide all or part of the examination and assessment services. The personal data submitted may also be used for:

  • Assisting tertiary institutions and other government/public organisations in their admission processes;
  • Assisting tertiary institutions and other government/public organisations in respect of their requests for information in granting scholarships;
  • Assisting tertiary institutions and other government/public organisations to confirm the candidates’ eligibility for financial assistance or other forms of subsidization, in which case, the necessary personal data of the candidates may have to be disclosed to the concerned organisations for verification;
  • Certifying candidates’ examination results in response to legitimate requests;
  • Processing any refund or payment in relation to the examination;
  • Conducting educational research and analysis in an anonymous format in which the identities of candidates are not traceable; and
  • Marketing the services and products of the Examination Board (including examination services, courses, events, publications, and other examination materials or resources) subject to the consent of the applicants/candidates. *

The HKEAA and the Examination Board may also transfer the personal data of applicants/candidates between them and to third parties for use for the above purposes or other directly related purposes, whether in or outside Hong Kong, including government/public organisations, regulatory bodies, schools and educational institutions, banks (for processing refund or payment), and service providers/personnel providing various administrative or technical services to facilitate the delivery of the examination and assessment services including but not limited to data punching, registration process, verification of identity, despatch of examination documents, and the capture, disposal or other processing of data.

In compliance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, access to all personal data will be made available, on payment of a fee, to anyone who can establish his/her right to be informed of such data as are retained by the HKEAA. Please also note that applicants’/candidates’ personal data/correspondence/other information received by the HKEAA may be transferred to the Examination Board concerned for delivery of examination and assessment services and for any of the abovementioned purposes or other directly related purposes. In general, upon completion of an examination or examination series and all the connecting examination services, the HKEAA will transfer all such data to the Examination Board who will then assume full control of such data. By then, applicants/candidates should approach the Examination Board direct for their personal data/information handling policies if necessary.
