1. Candidates MUST arrive at the examination centre no later than 8 am. The Centre’s door will be closed at 8 am and NO late entry will be allowed.
2. Candidates MUST present a valid government-issued photo ID, which is original and physical, bear the full, legal English name exactly as it appears on their Admission Form and a recent recognizable photograph, to take the examination. Beginning in March 2025, school-produced student IDs won't be an acceptable form of identification at the test centres administered by the HKEAA. 3. Candidates MUST bring along with their own testing devices.
4. All devices should be fully charged or the battery level is above 90%, and be able to stay on for a 3 – 4 hour examination.
5. Seats with power supply in the examination centres are limited, and seats are available on a first-come-first-serve basis.
6. Candidates should bring along with their own portable power bank or a backup device.
7. Candidates should access to the Bluebook app one or two days before the examination by connecting to a public Wi-Fi.
8. Candidates should ensure all VPN on their testing devices are disabled and the Bluebook app is the most updated version. (More details: Bluebook Releases)

10. Only some test centres have a drop-off area outside the facility. Candidates are encouraged to use public transportation to reach the location, as this will help avoid delays and reduce the risk of being refused admission due to late arrival.
11. (New) Effective for the August 2025 Digital SAT admin, calculators with computer algebra system (CAS) functionality will no longer be allowed for the test. (More details: SAT Calculator Policy)
