‘Father’ of Greensleeves
The English Language listening tests were first broadcast by RTHK in 1995. Mr Rex King, the then Deputy Secretary General, revealed why he chose Greensleeves as the background music.
Designer of the ‘H.K.E.A. APPROVED’ label
Since 1991, the ‘H.K.E.A. APPROVED’ label was required to be printed on all approved calculators for public examinations. Mr Rex King told us what happened in that year.

Liberal Studies was offered in 1994 as an AS-level subject and is now a core subject in the HKDSE. Mr Rex King shared how he designed the LS syllabus and introduced it to schools.
