Over 70,000 secondary school graduates under the New Academic Structure (NAS) received the results of 2012 HKDSE Examination on 20 July. A total of 26,431 day school candidates met the general entrance requirements for the government funded four-year undergraduate university programmes in Hong Kong, these students obtained level 3 or above in both Chinese Language and English Language, and level 2 or above in Mathematics Compulsory Part and Liberal Studies. “We are sure candidates who have worked hard are getting the results they deserve,” said Dr Tong Chong-sze, Secretary General of the HKEAA, “The HKDSE is a ground-breaking qualification that has been well received both locally and abroad. These results serve as a gateway for senior secondary graduates to further education and employment opportunities.” |

The HKEAA organised an information session on 24 July for more than 30 overseas education consultants, with the aim to enhance understanding of the HKDSE qualification among them. The session is designed for overseas education consultants who will in turn advise parents and students, who are planning to pursue their studies abroad.
