HKEAA Received A-ATP 2025 Award for Digital Transformation of Examinations and Assessment
The HKEAA is proud to announce its winning of the Outstanding Transformational Project Award from the Asia Association of Test Publishers (A-ATP). The prestigious honour affirms our pioneering role in reshaping the assessment landscape in Asia through the Digital Assessment Initiative (DAI) and the Comprehensive Cloud Migration (CCM) project.
Launched in March 2024, the DAI marks a significant milestone in our strategic commitment to digital transformation. At its core is the development of an enterprise-wide Digital Assessment System (DAS), which supports a comprehensive, end-to-end digital assessment process across various examinations and assessments. The DAS replaces decades of paper-based assessments with streamlined workflows, improving operational efficiency and candidates’ assessment experience. As part of this initiative, international and professional examinations, including the Putonghua Shuiping Ceshi, the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA) examinations, and various government examinations, have adopted the computer-based testing mode. The Authority will continue to invest strategically in digital transformation and talent development to uphold the highest standards of examination and assessment services, and to ensure that we will remain competitive and responsive to the evolving needs of learners and stakeholders. Season’s Greetings from the HKEAA
As Christmas and the New Year are approaching, the HKEAA extends warm wishes to you and your loved ones for a peaceful holiday season.
Looking back on 2025, the HKEAA successfully conducted the HKDSE with the introduction of new Category C Other Languages subjects. International recognition of the HKDSE has reached new heights, with over 1,100 non-local institutions admitting students based on HKDSE results and posting their admission requirements on our website. Throughout the year, we also delivered a wide range of assessments, including the Territory-wide System Assessment, numerous international and professional examinations, and computer-based testing for learners across the region. We have also strengthened efforts to promote Assessment for Learning in the education community and launched new projects, including the 2026 Progress in International Reading Literacy Study (PIRLS) in Hong Kong. Despite an ever-changing environment, the Authority remains committed to providing high-quality examination and assessment services, enabling students and the public to attain reliable qualifications in pursuit of their aspirations. Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to working together again in 2026! |
