Make recommendations to the Council regarding policies and procedures for processing appeal
cases in respect of the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE) and the
Language Proficiency Assessment for Teachers (LPAT); review the decisions of the Public
Examinations Board and the LPAT Task Group on examination irregularities; review and make final
decisions on applications for review of the process of rechecking and remarking and the marking
of scripts
