SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

UOL Exam Arrangement for May / June 2023

As confirmed by University of London (UoL), no written examinations will be held at the examination centres in May / June 2023. Therefore, NO registration will be opened at the HKEAA centre. You may refer to the UoL website for up-to-date information at https://london.ac.uk/current-students/examinations/alternative-assessments-during-coronavirus-covid-19-outbreak.

Anyone new to the UoL who wishes to ask a question should use the link at https://sid.london.ac.uk/sid/login/newuserform.aspx?cctc=UOLIA&CourseCode=&EnquiryCategoryCode. If you are currently an UoL student, you may raise the question through the ‘Ask A Question’ button on the home page of the Student Portal.

 

Introduction
The University of London has been examining and awarding different programmes to students worldwide.

Any person interested in taking the University of London examinations should first register as a student. Each programme has its own application deadline. For enquiry about registration as a student, please write to the University of London (http://www.londoninternational.ac.uk/contact-us).

Examination Timetable
Examinations for most degree programmes and certain postgraduate programmes are held mainly in May / June and in September / October / November.

The examination timetable is drawn up by the University each year. More information regarding examination timetable are available on the website of the University (http://www.londoninternational.ac.uk/).

In general, the local starting time is 9:00 a.m. for the examinations to be held in the morning and 2:00 p.m. for the examinations to be held in the afternoon even if these may differ slightly from those given on the University's Examination Entry Form and Admission Notice issued by the University.

    29 January - 5 February 2020 (Mon to Fri Only: 8:30am - 5:15pm, Without Lunch Break) (Closed on Saturdays, Sundays and General Holidays.)
  5. Payment:
    Local examination fee should be paid before entry forms are submitted.

    Examination Registration
    The Notes for Persons Entering for the Examination and the HKEAA Examination Application Form can be downloaded during the registration period.

    For postal or in-person registration, candidates are required to submit the completed HKEAA Examination Application Form and two paper copies of the University's Examination Entry Form downloaded from the candidates' University portal account.

    For online registration, candidates should submit the registration online at online.hkeaa.edu.hk during the specified registration period. Candidates are required to create their own accounts with a valid email address before registration. After activating the account, candidates can start registration by selecting "University of London Examination" Candidates are required to upload a digital image of the University's Examination Entry Form downloaded from the candidate's university portal account when making registration.

    During registration period, the following registration documents except the University's Examination Entry Form can be obtained from the HKEAA San Po Kong Office.

      - candidates should download their personalized University Examination Entry Form from student portal at:

    Arrangement may also be made for the registration documents, including the Demand Note to be sent to candidates by post. Please send a stamped (HK$2.0) and self-addressed envelope to the HKEAA Registration Office (Please mark "UOL Entry Form").

    Change of Postal Address
    To change the postal address after registration, candidates should complete and return the "Address Amendment Form" by fax (3628 8790), by e-mail or by post to the Registration Office.

     

     

    Candidates should also submit the amendment request to the University separately.

     

     

    Release of Results
    The examination results release dates vary for different programmes. On the date of release of results, the University will send an email giving the link to the results page to the concerned candidates.

    If candidates have been successful at the final examination, the graduation documents under the seal of the University will be delivered to candidates from the University within three months after the receipt of the results in general. 

     

    Data Privacy
    Personal data of candidates are used by the HKEAA and the Examination Board for delivery of examination and assessment services. Whether you provide the requested personal data is voluntary. However, if you fail to provide all the data, or if any of the data are inaccurate or incomplete, the HKEAA may not be able to accept your entry or provide all or part of the examination and assessment services. The personal data submitted may also be used for:
    • assisting tertiary institutions and other government  / public organizations in their admissions processes;
    • assisting tertiary institutions and other government / public organizations in respect of their requests for information in granting scholarships;
    • assisting tertiary institutions and other government / public organizations to confirm the candidates' eligibility for financial assistance or other forms of subsidization, in which case, the necessary personal data of the candidates may have to be disclosed to the concerned organizations for verification;
    • certifying candidates' examination results in response to legitimate requests;
    • processing any refund or payment in relation to the examination;
    • conducting educational research and analysis in an anonymous format in which the identities of candidates are not traceable; and
    • marketing the services and products of the Examination Board (including examination services, courses, events, publications, and other examination materials or resources) subject to the consent of the candidates.* 

    The HKEAA may also transfer the personal data of candidates to third parties for use for the above purposes or other directly related purposes, including government / public organizations, schools and educational institutions, banks (for processing refund or payment), and service providers providing various administrative or technical services to facilitate the delivery of the examination and assessment services including but not limited to data punching, registration process, dispatch of examination documents, and the capture, disposal or other processing of data.   

    In compliance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, access to all personal data will be made available, on payment of a fee, to anyone who can establish his / her right to be informed of such data as are retained by the HKEAA. Please also note that candidates' personal data / correspondence / other information received by the HKEAA may be referred to the Examination Board concerned for delivery of examination and assessment services and for any of  the abovementioned purposes or other directly related purposes. In general, upon completion of an examination or examination series and all the connecting examination services, the HKEAA will transfer all such data to the Examination Board who will then assume full control of such data. By then, candidates should approach the Examination Board direct for their personal data / information handling policies if necessary.

    *If you have given consent but wish to withdraw your consent for your personal data to be used for this purpose, please send a letter of request to the HKEAA.
