Amendments to the UCAS Tariff of the UK

The UCAS announced that all international qualifications, including the HKDSE and non-regulated UK qualifications, will be removed from the Tariff Tables in May 2022. The new arrangement will be applicable to students entering the UK higher education from September 2023 onwards. The UCAS also confirmed that this change will not impact the validity of the HKDSE or its acceptability for progression into higher education in the UK. The HKEAA is implementing a series of contingency and precautionary measures during the HKDSE to ensure the health and well-being of candidates, examination personnel and all involved in the administration of the examinations. 2022 HKDSE Commencement Date and Special Arrangements for Candidates Affected by COVID-19 Pandemic

The HKEAA announced that written examinations of the 2022 HKDSE will be held between 22 April and 14 May according to the examination timetable announced earlier, and special arrangements will be provided to candidates affected by COVID-19 pandemic. Meanwhile, practical examinations of Physical Education and Music will be held in late May/early June. Please read the press release for details.

Assessment Information on 2024 HKDSE Citizenship and Social Development and Chinese Language

The HKEAA has published the Level Descriptors and Samples of Student Performance for the 2024 HKDSE Citizenship and Social Development. Following the revised Assessment Framework for Chinese Language, the Subject Descriptors and Writing Descriptors have been updated, and the Sample Paper and Samples of Student Performance for Paper 2 Section A Practical Writing are also available for teachers and students’ reference.
