Research Forum on Assessment and Education for the Future
|
The HKEAA held a Research Forum on 17 November to facilitate educators, school administrators, and teachers to have dialogues and exchange views on education and assessment issues, including digital assessment, Assessment for Learning, STEM education, and large-scale international survey assessment, etc., with scholars and experts from different regions. The forum was conducted in both face-to-face and webcast modes for hundreds of local and non-local participants. |

HKDSE Online Information Seminar
|
To mark the 45th anniversary of the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority (HKEAA) and enhance public understanding of the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE), an information seminar was held online on 29 October 2022. Over a thousand students, parents and teachers joined the event. Hosted by Professor Ricardo Mak, Director of Public Examinations and two other representatives of the HKEAA, the seminar featured the latest developments of the HKDSE, including the marking and grading, international recognition, streamlining arrangements for the 2023 HKDSE, as well as the new assessment arrangements for the 2024 and 2025 HKDSE. Briefing for Schools on the Results of the 2022 HKDSE Predicted Level Study
|
The HKEAA held an online briefing session on 31 October 2022 to provide schools with an overview of the results of the 2022 HKDSE Predicted Level Study. About 180 school representatives participated in the webcast session.

DFS Promotion Webinar: Data-driven Assessment Enhancement Programme
|
A DFS promotion webinar was jointly organised by the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority (HKEAA) and the Hong Kong Education City (EdCity) on 14 October 2022. Application for the data-driven assessment enhancement programme is now open for schools, which have subscribed or are going to subscribe Online Question Bank (OQB). The application period runs from 9:30am on 17 October 2022 to 5:30pm on 31 October 2022, with a quota of 30 on a first-come, first-served basis.

2022 Stakeholders' Forum
|
Around 20 representatives from school councils, professional bodies of the education sector, parent-teacher associations and special educational needs students’ concern groups joined the HKEAA Stakeholders’ Forum on 18 June 2022. Convened by Mr Samuel Yung Wing-ki, the HKEAA Chairman; Prof Wei Xiang-dong, the Secretary General and the Directors of the HKEAA, the Forum was organised to enhance communication and engagement with stakeholders.
The participants were enthusiastic in sharing their views on the assessment and administrative arrangements for the HKDSE, as well as the development of assessment services and technology. They also expressed support and recognition of the HKEAA in offering quality examination and assessment services, especially under the challenging time of the pandemic this year.
During the event, Mr Yung and representatives of the HKEAA also expressed gratitude to the Education Bureau, schools, teachers, candidates, parents and different government departments for their support and cooperation in achieving the smooth conduct of the 2022 HKDSE.

2022 Online Information Seminars on HKDSE Core Subjects

A series of information seminars on the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE) Core Subjects was held on 15 and 22 January 2022. Over a thousand participants, including students, parents and teachers, attended the seminars. Representatives of the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority (HKEAA) introduced the assessment requirements of the 2022 HKDSE core subjects, including Chinese Language, English Language, Mathematics and Liberal Studies, as well as the marking and grading of public examinations.
