With a theme of New Vista in Education Assessments: Global Vision and Whole-Person Development, the HKEAA is thrilled to host the Research Forum 2024 on 22 November 2024 (Friday). The Forum is co-hosted with Huaxia Education Evaluation Alliance (HEEA) and Education Convergence. Esteemed assessment and learning experts from Mainland China and local scholars will come together to share their insights about large-scale international assessment study, assessment for learning and the applications of technology and artificial intelligence (AI) in educational assessments, etc. This event offers a unique opportunity for all school principals, teachers and stakeholders in the education sector to broaden their perspectives on global education development trends, acquire essential knowledge to enhance their teaching skills and engage with leaders in exploring innovative strategies that will shape the future of education assessment.
Join us for the morning presentations which will be officiated by Professor Paul Lam Kwan-sing, the Chairman of the HKEAA. The morning sessions will also feature keynote speeches by Professor Hau Kit-tai from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Dr Raymond Chan Mow-chiu from the Hong Kong Professional Counselling Association, and Dr Ivan Fung Wing-hong from the University of Hong Kong. The keynotes will be followed by a round-table discussion on high-stakes tests used for university admissions by Mr Wang Hui, former director of the College Students Affairs department of the Ministry of Education in PRC, Dr Richard Lee, Principal of the Hong Kong Chinese Christian Churches Union Logos Academy, and Ms Choy Siu Kwan, Head of Assessment Development, HKEAA. In the afternoon, seminars will be hosted by HKEAA representatives and teachers, covering a series of assessment related projects, including the 2024 HKDSE Predicted Level Study results.
