Questions:
Answer:
  1. What should I do if I want to change, add or delete subjects after my entry to the 2023 HKDSE has been accepted by the HKEAA?

Candidates who wish to change, add or delete subjects after their entry has been accepted should make an application with the HKEAA during the amendment period from 15 November to 5 December 2022. Candidates should note that a change of the language version of a subject or a change in the choice of paper / module / musical instruments (for Music) / physical activities or application for exemption / amendment to the exemption from physical activities (for Physical Education) etc. in a subject is also regarded as a change of subject.

Applications for amendment of subject entry information are subject to the approval of the HKEAA and the payment of a supplementary fee of $278 per candidate’s application (irrespective of the number of subjects) and the subject fees (if applicable). Those who apply for an addition of subject(s) are required to pay the subject fee(s) for the additional subject(s). (Note: The subject fees for the 2023 HKDSE school candidates will be paid by the Government while the supplementary fee will be borne by candidates.)

You may click here for details about the supplementary fees.
