Private candidates can access the HKDSE Online Services for various examination procedures, including examination registration, application for Special Examination Arrangements (SEAs), reporting on examination irregularities, etc. After the results are released, they can view their HKDSE results and apply for Rechecking and Remarking via the HKDSE Online Services within a specific period of time, besides receiving the Results Notice by post. The workflows are as follows:

1. Create a Private Candidate Account:
Candidates have to create an account in advance. Once they enter and submit the required information, the system will send an account activation email to their registered email address. The candidates should click the hyperlink in the email to activate the account.

2. Choose the Required Online Services:
Once the account is activated, candidates can login to the HKDSE Online Services and choose the services they need on the main page. Candidates should submit the applications for HKDSE registration or SEAs, etc. according to the stipulated application period.

Remarks: Private candidates retaking the HKDSE are required to create a new account and submit a new application during the registration period of the current examination year.
