The student has to introduce a sport to her classmates as part of a Part B elective on Sports Communication, with this student choosing "volleyball". She is prepared and confident and does not depend on memorised notes. She engages naturally with the audience, although her pace is rather slow and there is some hesitation. Her pronunciation is undermined by some key persistent errors in articulation. Her body language and timing are appropriate and she interacts well with her audience. She uses appropriate vocabulary and language patterns for a rather simple task, but there are language errors (even at this level). She has scaffolded her presentation with a PowerPoint slide but sometimes loses track between slides and her own ideas. She presents simple information quite clearly but there is little evidence that she can maintain a more complex presentation. |
