The National Association of Teachers of Dancing (NATD), UK - Ballroom & Latin Examinations are jointly organized by the Hong Kong Ballroom Dancing Council (HKBDC) and the HKEAA.

In 2008, the NATD Examination will be held in October 2008, whereas starting from 2009, the NATD will be held in April/May. Details regarding the examination will be announced approximately three months before the scheduled examination date.

In April 2012, the examination dates and registration deadline are as follows:

Examinations entries will only be accepted from the members of HKBDC. No private candidates are allowed to submit applications themselves.

The HKEAA will send letters and registration documents to all eligible teachers approved by the HKBDC before the registration starts.

Teachers may obtain a set of the NATD Examination Syllabus with details on the examination conditions, examination requirements, officials uniform and age requirements etc, from the HKBDC.

Examination Fee

Personal data of candidates are used for delivery of examination services. The provision of the requested personal data is voluntary. If any of the data is inaccurate or incomplete, the HKEAA may not be able to accept the entry. The personal data submitted may also be used for: (a) assisting tertiary institutions and other government/public organizations in their processes for admissions purposes; (b) certifying candidates’ examination results in response to legitimate requests; (c) assisting tertiary institutions and other government/public organisations in respect of their requests for information in granting scholarships/financial assistance or other forms of subsidization; (d) conducting educational research and analysis in an anonymous format in which the identities of candidates are not traceable; and (e) providing information related to the examination concerned to the candidates/parents or applicants.

In compliance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, access to all personal data will be made available, on payment of a fee, to anyone who can establish his/her right to be informed of such data as are retained by the HKEAA. Please also note that candidates’ personal data/correspondence/other information received by the HKEAA may be referred to the Examination Board concerned. In general, upon completion of an examination, all such data should be at the disposal of the Examination Board.
