According to the University's practice, the results are usually released about three months after conclusion of the examinations. And the release dates are different for different programmes. Results will be sent to candidates by the University of London International Programmes or through HKEAA by post.
If candidates have been successful at the final examination, the certificates are usually available about four to six months after release of examination results. Upon receipt, HKEAA will then issue notification letters to candidates for collection of certificates. If candidates do not receive notification letters from HKEAA, candidates should contact HKEAA directly.
Personal data of candidates are used for the purpose of conducting the examination. The entry data are supplied by candidates responsible for their own entries. Whether candidates provide the requested personal data is voluntary. However, if candidates fail to provide all the data, or if any of the data are inaccurate or incomplete, it may affect the administration of the examinations, the processing and/or delivery of the examination results and/or the verification of identities of candidates. As a result, the Authority may not be able to accept their entries.
The personal data may also be used for the following purposes:
- assisting tertiary institutions and other government/public organizations in their processes for admission purposes,
-
conducting educational research and analysis in an anonymous format in which the identities of candidates are not traceable.
In compliance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, access to all personal data will be made available, on payment of a fee, to anyone who can establish his/her right to be informed of such data as are retained by the HKEAA.
