Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) is recognized by the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) of the UK as comparable to the UK GCE A Level and acceptable for entry to higher education courses in the UK.

The Authority comprises a diverse pool of experienced and well trained examination administrative staff, experts in the development of testing services as well as a strong research and development team, who, together, are capable of developing and delivering a full range of examinations and assessment services. We also run three assessment centres at convenient locations throughout Hong Kong and provide about 1,000 workstations for delivering online or computer based examinations. These centers are also suitable for pen and paper tests. With access to unrivaled expertise and extensive research capability across the assessment and examinations spectrum, we actively form partnerships with local and overseas universities to conduct research and deliver assessment consultancy services. We also provide training in examination administration, question paper setting and standardization to other examination organizations, maintain state-of-the-art assessment centres for written and computer based tests and administer examinations on behalf of other bodies.
