University of London International Programmes Examinations
Introduction

The University of London External System has been examining and awarding international programmes to students worldwide. In August 2010, they changed their name from the University of London External System to the University of London International Programmes

Any person interested in taking the University of London International Programmes examinations should first register as an External student for International Programmes. Each programme has its own application deadline. For enquiry about registration as a student, please write to:

Examination Timetable

Examinations are held annually, in May/June for most degree programmes and in September/October/November for certain finance, economics and other qualifications and some others.
 
The examination timetable is drawn up each year by the University. More information regarding examination timetable are available on the website of the University of London International Programmes.

Important Dates

Important Dates for the May/June 2012 Examinations

  1. Examinations: 
      May/June 2012
  2. Registration by post: 
      19 - 31 December 2011
  3. Registration in person or by a representative: 
      4 - 16 January 2012
  4. Payment: 
      Local fee should be paid before entry forms are submitted.

Important Dates for the September/October/November 2012 Examinations

  1. Registration Period: 
      Mid-June 2012 to mid-July 2012

Examination Registration

Candidates are required to submit two entry forms, one for the University and one for the HKEAA. During registration period, the following registration documents can be obtained from the HKEAA San Po Kong Office.

  May/June 2012 Examinations:

The Notes for Persons Entering for the Examination and the HKEAA Examination Entry Form can be downloaded during the registration period.

Arrangement may also be made for the registration documents to be sent to candidates by mail. Please send a written request (stating your programme of study) with a self-addressed, stamped envelope (HK$2.2) to the Registration Office.

Change of Postal Address
To change the postal address after registration, candidates should complete and return the "Address Amendment Form" by fax (3628 8790) or by post to the HKEAA Registration Office.
Candidates should also submit the amendment request to The Information Centre, The University of London International Programmes (email: enquiries@london.ac.uk) directly.
Release of Results

According to the University's practice, the results are usually released about three months after conclusion of the examinations. And the release dates are different for different programmes. Results will be available online for both May/June examinations and September/October/November examinations. The University of London will send an email to candidates when the results become available. Notifications of Results might be sent to candidates by the University of London International Programmes or through HKEAA by post.

If candidates have been successful at the final examination, the certificates are usually available about four to six months after release of examination results. Upon receipt, HKEAA will then issue notification letters to candidates for collection of certificates. If candidates do not receive notification letters from HKEAA, candidates should contact HKEAA directly.

Data Privacy

Personal data of candidates are used for delivery of examination services. The provision of the requested personal data is voluntary. If any of the data is inaccurate or incomplete, the HKEAA may not be able to accept the entry. The personal data submitted may also be used for:

  1. assisting tertiary institutions and other government/public organizations in their processes for admission purposes;
  2. certifying candidates' examination results in response to legitimate requests;
  3. assisting tertiary institutions and other government/public organizations in respect of their requests for information in granting scholarships/financial assistance or other forms of subsidization;
  4. conducting educational research and analysis in an anonymous format in which the identities of candidates are not traceable; and
  5. providing information related to the examination concerned to the candidates.

In compliance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, access to all personal data will be made available, on payment of a fee, to anyone who can establish his/her right to be informed of such data as are retained by the HKEAA. Please refer to the HKEAA website for details. Please also note that candidates' personal data/correspondence/other information received by the HKEAA may be referred to the Examination Board concerned. In general, upon completion of an examination, all such data should be at the disposal of the Examination Board.
