The Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) tests are taken by individuals applying to graduate schools. (Extracted from 2010 - 2011 GRE Information and Registration Bulletin)

The GRE General Test is offered in two parts in China, including Hong Kong, Korea, and Taiwan. The Analytical Writing section is offered on computer; the Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative Reasoning sections are offered at a paper-based administration. Test takers are required to take both the computer-based and paper-based parts of the GRE General Test in the same testing year, and must take the computer-based Analytical Writing portion first.

Individuals taking the Analytical Writing section between 1 July 2010 and 18 September 2010, will be registered for the paper-based administration on 23 October 2010. Those taking the Analytical Writing section between 19 September 2010 and 7 May 2011, will be registered for the paper-based administration on 11 Jun 2011.
