Introduction

AP Exams are offered by the College Board of the United States. The Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority (HKEAA) is one of the examination centres appointed by the College Board to hold AP Exams in Hong Kong
  • Students who take Advanced Placement (AP) exams are immersed in university-level learning while still in secondary school.
  • AP is recognized by universities around the world as a standard of academic excellence. Universities offer advanced placement, credit or both, and/or recognize AP in their admission process.

Date of examinations: 4 to 8 May 2015 & 11 to 15 May 2015
(Late-testing: 21 to 23 May 2015)
Registration: Early January 2015 to Mid March 2015
(The application deadline of AP Late-testing is Mid April 2015)

  • Candidates can pay the exam fees by using credit card online, Hong Kong Dollar cheque, or 7-Eleven demand note obtainable at HKEAA San Po Kong Office.
  • Completed registration form together with Hong Kong Dollar cheque should be returned by post, in person or by a representative to the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority on or before the registration deadline. For payment details, please refer to the Notes to Applicants.

 

 

 

Admission Ticket

  • Date of receiving the admission ticket: The HKEAA will send admission ticket by email before 2 April 2015. The late-testing ticket will be issued before 21 April 2015.
  • Please check with the HKEAA if you do not receive the admission ticket and "Notes to Candidates" in due course.
  • Candidates should take the exam at the assigned time/date and venue as specified on their respective admission tickets.

Personal Data

Personal data of applicants/candidates are used for delivery of examination services.  As such, they may be provided to the Authority’s contractor/vendor (or their appointees) for delivery of processes which is not accomplished by the Authority, including but not limited to data punching, receipt of candidate fees and dispatch of examination documents. The provision of the requested personal data is voluntary.  If a candidate fails to provide all the data, or if any of the data are inaccurate or incomplete (e.g. the English name is not exactly the same as the one on the ID document), the HKEAA may not be able to accept the entry.  The personal data submitted may also be used for:

(a)      assisting tertiary institutions and other government/ public organizations in their processes for admissions purposes;
(b)     assisting tertiary institutions and other government/ public organizations in respect of their requests for information in granting scholarships;
(c)      assisting tertiary institutions and other government/ public organizations to confirm the candidates’ eligibility for financial assistance or other form of subsidization, in which case, the necessary personal data of the candidates may have to be disclosed to the concerned organization for verification;
(d)     certifying candidates’ examination results in response to legitimate requests;
(e)      conducting educational research and analysis in an anonymous format in which the identities of candidates are not traceable; and
(f)      marketing the services and products of the Examination Board*.  
 
In compliance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, access to all personal data will be made available, on payment of a fee, to anyone who can establish his/her right to be informed of such data as are retained by the HKEAA. Please refer to the HKEAA website (www.hkeaa.edu.hk) for details. Please also note that candidates’ personal data/ correspondence/ other information received by the HKEAA may be referred to the Examination Board concerned. Applicants/candidates should approach the Examination Board direct for their personal data/information handling policies if necessary.

Candidates should accept that the HKEAA shall not be responsible for any non-performance of duties where such non-performance has been caused by an act of God, labour strike, natural disaster, governmental action or intervention, or any other cause not reasonably foreseeable and beyond the reasonable control of the HKEAA. The HKEAA, including their contractors and subcontractors, shall not be liable to anyone claiming for any damages which are caused by, arising from or otherwise related to the failure of staff members, examination personnel or the examination centres to comply with the examination regulations, policies or procedures.
