Advanced Placement Examinations
Introduction

AP Exams are offered by the College Board of the United States. The Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority (HKEAA) is one of the examination centres appointed by the College Board to hold AP Exams in Hong Kong

  • Students who take Advanced Placement (AP) exams are immersed in university-level learning while still in secondary school.
  • AP is recognized by universities around the world as a standard of academic excellence. Universities offer advanced placement, credit or both, and/or recognize AP in their admission process.

Date of examinations: 7 to 11 May 2012 & 14 to 18 May 2012
(Late-testing: 23 to 25 May 2012)
Registration: 16 January 2012 to 13 March 2012
(The application deadline of AP Late-testing is 13 April 2012)

Monday-Friday: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm (without lunch break)

  • Candidates can pay the exam fees by using credit card online, Hong Kong Dollar cheque, or 7-Eleven demand note obtainable at HKEAA San Po Kong Office.
  • Completed registration form together with Hong Kong Dollar cheque should be returned by post, in person or by a representative to the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority on or before the registration deadline. For payment details, please refer to the Notes to Applicants.

  • Exam fee per subject for late-testing: HK$2,120

Admission Ticket
  • Date of receiving the admission ticket: The HKEAA will send admission ticket by email before 6 April 2012.
  • Please check with the HKEAA if you do not receive the admission ticket and "Notes to Candidates" in due course.
  • Candidates should take the exam at the assigned time/date and venue as specified on their respective admission tickets.
