Updates on AP Examinations in May 2020

As schools and communities navigate the challenges posed by the COVID-19 outbreak, the health and safety of students and educators are the AP® Program’s highest priorities.  For 2020 only, paper-and-pencil AP exams globally will not be administered.  The College Board announced that students can take a 45-minute online exam at home for the 2020 AP Exam administration, for those who remain eager to take the exams.  This option will give students the opportunity to earn the college credit and placement they have been working toward all year.  See here for details from the College Board.

The Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority (HKEAA) by default considers all registered students will take the AP exams online UNLESS they notify the HKEAA in writing to cancel their registration.  Only e-cancellation form received between 9 April and 13 April 2020 will be processed. Candidates will be contacted by email for details.
