Exam Syllabuses
The syllabuses that follow provided basic syllabus content with explanatory notes added where appropriate. With the commencement of the New Senior Secondary Curriculum at Secondary 4 in 2009/2010, the last Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) for school candidates was held in 2010 and the last round of the HKCEE for private candidates was offered in 2011. Subjects marked with an '*' were not offered in the 2011 HKCEE. The new Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination take place in 2012 to replace the existing public examinations, the HKCEE and the Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (HKALE).
