To cater for the needs of past candidates requesting proof of their examination results for further studies or employment, the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority (HKEAA) provides the service of certification of examination results of the following local public examinations:

• Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE)
• Hong Kong Higher Level Examination (HKHLE) (1979-1992)
• Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (HKALE) (from 1980 onwards)
• Test of Proficiency in Putonghua (TPP)
• Test of Advanced Proficiency in Putonghua (TAPP) (1990-2008)

The service includes the issuance of the following documents upon application and payment of the appropriate fees. There is no limitation on the number of copies applied for.

• Statement of Results
• Certification of Results
• Certification for Entering / Participation in an Examination

• Statement of Results
  A Statement of Results may be issued to a candidate to certify his / her examination results. The content of the Statement will be the same as the certificate.
  
  
• Certification of Results
  Certification of Results is made in the form of a letter. The certification letter is issued normally in connection with the seeking of an employment or admission to an educational institution. This certification will be sent to the prospective employer or institution only.
  
  
• Certification for Entering / Participation in an Examination
  Certification for entering / participation in an examination is made in the form of a letter to a candidate to certify that he / she has entered for / sat a previous Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) / Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (HKALE) / Hong Kong Higher Level Examination (HKHLE) / Test of Proficiency in Putonghua (TPP) / Test of Advanced Proficiency in Putonghua (TAPP).
